This project corresponds to the paving of a sidewalk area of the Kimberly Clark industrial plant in the city of Cartago, Costa Rica. The pavement was designed for heavy truck traffic over a 20-year service life, with a thickness of 11 cm of fiber-reinforced concrete. It was also built on a cement-treated base, which was separated from the concrete with a geotextile layer to avoid problems caused by rain in the area and to support the optimized slab geometry.
