A test section was paved on the route 7 in the south of Chile, near the El Toqui mine. 4 different alternatives were proved, a 5 inch thickness normal slab, and three fiber reinforced 4.5 inch concrete slabs. Two used plastic fiber while the other used  metal based fiber. The objective of this test section is to prove which alternative is the best solution for using TCP technology in other roads of the route 7.
